Just putting this lot here as a reference for some advice and meal plans.
Although I’m largely omnivorous, I’m currently tending towards being pescatarian and/or a bad vegetarian; going vegan is a step too far for me at the moment, although we’ve just bought some vegan cookbooks, so you never know.
Well we’re trying yet again to run our home marathon: the Virgin London Marathon on 26 April 2020.

Three medals for the price of two: MK Half-Marathon 2017, MK Rocket 5K and the 2 Day MK Challenge. Official chip time was 2:48:07. Nowhere near my PB: that’s a result of a lack of training.

The weather forecast was wrong: it was warm, bright and very windy! Not sure running a 5k race yesterday was wise

Our warm-up run for tomorrow’s Half Marathon and a new PB for me. My chip time was 28:04.
Well that was very much a voyage into the unknown and whilst they measured my time with a calendar, I was pleased to finish.
So after an overnight stay at the Doubletree by Hilton MKStadium, I set out for my first half marathon and I’m really pleased with the results: personal best for 5k, 10k, half marathon and my longest run ever!
